There are definitely considerations when creating a girls bedroom interior design-wise. We want it to be fun and inspiring for our little ones, however, we don't want to over-stimulate their bedroom as it is also where they rest, have quiet time and sleep.
Getting the balance right
A foolproof way is to avoid strong hues. Instead of a bright purple, for example, think mauve, or dusty pinks instead of a vibrant pink.
Mix and Match
To create interest we suggest bringing in lots of layers of shapes, patterns and texture. As your colours are more subdued you can get away with adding more than you think. For example, floral wallpaper, a checked patterned and a pin stripe cushion against a distressed rug may seem overbearing if used altogether with more saturated colours, but here they feel well balanced and even serene in this concept.
